From The Beatles, to New Kids On The Block, to NSYNC, boy bands have consistently driven fans crazy. New Edition, born in Roxbury in the 80s - specifically Orchard Park - is Boston’s first.
Technically, New Edition formed in the late 1970s and sky rocketed to fame in the 80s. Comprised of talented young kids the group quickly became famous for their harmonious vocals, and cool dance moves. What was really cool, is how New Edition infused elements of pop, R&B, and soul into their music, which created a really unique sound.
